Wayback Machine Released a new BETA Version
The Internet Archive which has been running since 2001, has released a new BETA version of The Wayback Machine, which now use open source software. The move to open source makes the site faster and interface redesign makes it easier on your digital time traveling. Hence, now you can find stuff faster and much easier.
Here is exactly what is new.
- The home page now just has two buttons.
- There is now a calendar interface with blue bubbles to reflect changes.
- On the results page, there is a toolbar with visual information.
- There is a histogram to show page crawls.
The site has bugs and users are encouraged to report those via the following link. http://faq.waybackmachine.org/how-should-i-report-issues/. However, the new BETA site is much cleaner and way faster. Good move on their part!!
Below is their results page.
