AT&T Comes To The Rescue!
In response to the tragic earthquake and tsunami in Japan last week, AT&T is offering their aid to those trying to connect with friends and family in Japan. From March 11th-31st(until further notice), AT&T wireless postpaid customers will not receive charges for international calls from the US and Puerto Rico to Japan.
In addition, text messages sent from a US wireless number will be charge-free. Landline customers will be able to receive 60 minutes in call credits to Japan during the same time period. Please note that Landline customers must call AT&T after receiving their bills to claim the credit.
AT&T spokesman, Mark Collins announced, “We want to help our customers connect with loved ones in Japan in any way we can.” AT&T wireless customers may also donate $10 to help the RedCross with relief efforts by texting “redcross” to 90999. TV Japan(the 24 hour Japanese news channel) will be accessible for free to all U-verse TV subscribers through March 17th.
