Adobe’s Photoshop 2: Now Available For iPad

Adobe PS2

Adobe has just updated the iOS version of the free Photoshop Express to 2.0. This will enhance the camera workflow that was present in version 1.5 and will also add full support for multi-tasking, as well as the iPhone 4’s Retina Display. Adobe added their first in-app purchase, featuring a “Camera Pack” add-on.

Photoshop express runs on mobile devices and desktop web browsers alike, and is used by over 20 million people. The mobile version allows users to easily do basic editing of existing or just-snapped photos, as well as allowing to upload the results to social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

This new in-app purchase, called “Camera Pack.” is available for $4 and features a powerful noise filter, a 3 or 10 second interval self-timer, and a feature that will allow users to quickly check pictures and easily delete the undesired ones immediately after taking them, named Auto Review.

Although the program works on the iPad, it does not yet support the iPad2 cameras, but the company expects to add support in a future update.

Photoshop Express v2 for iOS will require iOS 4.2 or later, and the add-in Camera Pack will require a third or fourth generation; iPod Touch, iPhone 3GS (or later) or iPad. The program is currently available in English, only.
