Droid Incredible 2 Coming This Week
Although we’ve known about the HTC Droid Incredible 2 for quite a while, HTC and Verizon have finally announced a launch date and price point. But before we get back to the basics, let’s do a quick recap on what the Droid Incredible 2 will feature.
The device will come with a second generation 1GHz Qualcomm processor, an 800 x 480 pixel 4-inch capacitive display, and an eight megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p video recording. The device will also have a front-facing 1.3MP camera for video calling, 768MB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, and a 1450mAh battery. What will these specs translate in terms of price? Expect to pay about $200 for the phone when coupled with a two-year contract from Verizon.
I’m guessing you can probably get an unlocked version for about $600 if you really wanted to. The phone will be available on April 28th. This phone seems like it will be a worthy opponent to the iPhone 5, but we will have to see what Steve Jobs has up his sleeve later this year before we can make definitive statements. If you happen to pick one up, let us know if it’s worth the price tag, then again, with an 8MP camera you’re practically buying a camera too!
