MSI Announces New GX780 Gaming Laptop

MSI has introduced a new gaming notebook today that raises the stake even higher in the gaming industry. The MSI GX780 carries a 17.3-inch screen with a special keyboard design by the game accessory maker, SteelSeries. The end result is an extremely durable notebook keyboard that is optimized for hardcore gaming and even includes enlarged ALT and CTRL keys and moves the Windows key to the right to avoid accidental hits during those intense in-game battles!

The keyboard is backlit, but even better, it can be tuned for different colors or “behavior.” For example, users can enable the gaming mode which highlights the WASD layout (a common setup used for many first-person-shooter, RPG, and racing games). As many as ten keys can accept simultaneous input, allowing action and RTS gamers to work at max capacity. The notebook starts out with a 2GHz quad core i7 processor and a GeForce GT555M of dedicated graphics.

The base system includes two 320GB hard drives for 640GB of total storage, a DVD burner, 1600 x 900 display resolution, Blu-Ray, and support for up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM. The machine supports HDMI and USB 3.0 ports. We do not have any information on pricing or availability just yet, but be sure to stay tuned, this one will be hot! Take a look at the video below for a closer look!
