Acer Launches Business Computers @ Great Prices

Acer is rolling out some slim desktop computers to capture business-end users. The two new models are called the Veriton L4610G and X2110 desktop computers. The key feature lies in its back-up and IT software, that comes standard on the computer. The Veriton L4610G starts at a base price of $599 and offers a 3.1GHz dual-core Intel i3 processors with 2GB of RAM. The device stores up to 320GB of data at a drive speed of 7200 rotations per minute. Acer will also have a quad-core 2.5GHz Intel Core i5 model with 4GB of RAM.

The Veriton X2110 is a bigger machine, and starting at a base price of $379. It starts with a 3.3GHz AMD Athlon II X2 260 processor and 4GB of RAM. While this isn’t the zippiest processor, it sure beats the Pentium III’s that many large companies still use (trust me, I’ve worked at them). The X2110 also comes with an Nvidia GeForce 6150SE, which is a low-powered integrated graphics chip, enabling HD video playback and DirectX 9 compatible.

The system can carry as much as 500GB of storage space. Additionally, the 4GB of RAM can be upgraded to 8GB of memory later down the road, with one PCIe x1 and one PCIe x 16 slots ready for input. Both computers feature a SuperMulti drive, 802.11 b/g WiFi, integrated speakers, keyboard and mouse, and Kensington padlock slots to prevent theft. Users will have the option of installing either Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit on the machine. Acer will also pre-load its own suite of software such as eRecovery, eLock, and Quick Migration that lets your IT guy easily transfer data from one computer to another within the network.
