Asus Is Building A Quad-Core Tegra 3 Tablet
Although Asus has recently experienced a few problems on its production line with the Eee Pad Transformer, the company is planning on building a very powerful Quad-Core Tegra 3 Tablet. If you haven’t guessed already, this blazing fast processor might just be what the tablet device needs to compete with a laptop.
According to the DigiTimes, Asus has already started working on this new tablet and is expected to release Intel based tablets in the future. Asus will definitely launch two more Tablet PCs within the next three months. The 10-inch tablet set for launch will be called the Eee Pad Slider EP102 and the 7-inch tablet will be called the Eee Pad MeMo EP71.
It looks like Asus is going back to its roots when it first release the Eee PC 2G Surf, which was a 7-inch netbook or UMPC (ultra mobile portable computer). I will be very eager to see the benchmark results from the Tegra 3 tablets, and for all you geeks out there, I would highly recommend waiting for this beast. It will blow the iPad 2 out of the water! We will update with pricing, availability, specs, and photos as soon as we find out more! Check out the videos below to see the Eee Pad slider and the Eee Pad MeMo to catch a glimpse of the prototype demos.
