Google Shopper 1.4 Coming To Town

Google is going to be providing a host of tools that will benefit current and future Android smartphone users. As we are all aware, the economy is still struggling, and Google knows this. Its response? Ramp up Google Shopper for Android with the all new version, 1.4, carrying a large number of new features than the previous version. Google Shopper 1.4 works on a new user interface, and allows you to identify various products, perform an online search to learn more about an item, and discover where you are able to find the item you are looking for, for the lowest price.

This is a great application for those who haven’t yet heard about Google Shopper because it lets you find things easily, especially when you are not near a computer to do the digging. The application was designed with the consumer in mind, that said, users will be able to either type or speak their search query into the phone.

Additionally, users can use the smartphone’s camera to “scan barcodes” and perform object recognition on product designs so that products can be identified. QR code scanning and the ability to recognize products in magazine ads, are the latest features to be added into Google Shopper. The only requirement is that you run Android 2.1 or later. Check out the video below to see what Google Shopper was like when it first launched!
