Samsung Announces New Tablet W/ SENS-240
Samsung has so far been quite successful with the tablets and Android phones it has created. With continued success, the company has announced a new product today called the hybrid tablet with the SENS-240. The devices were built to work with a Samsung Android smartphone or tablet. The SENS-240 is of course a car navigation system that can connect to a normal phone using bluetooth. With the SENS-240 connected to the smartphone/tablet, it is able to send voice, data, voice search, and video and play the content on the seven inch screen.
This will be much more useful for Android smartphones, but it is nice to know that it is compatible with a tablet, if one would need that connection. The seven inch screen displays an 800 x 480 resolution. The tablet also features 256MB of RAM, USB 2.0 host, and an SD card slot.
Users will be able to use the smartphone or tablet as a remote control for both the tablet and SENS-240. Yes, we are talking about controlling a tablet with a tablet. No information yet on pricing or a release date. I think users would get the most functionality of this tablet by hooking it up or modifying it to fit in their car, assuming you don’t already have an LCD screen in your car. Aside from that, I can’t envision too many uses for this new gadget, but as I always say, options are good!
