Finally, A Hybrid Car That Goes 200MPH

Jaguar is planning to launch its C-X75 concept vehicle as a hybrid supercar. The C-X75 takes the cake for speed, known to achieve speeds greater than 200MPH and is expected to deliver ultra-low CO2 emissions of less than 99g/km. Finally a concept vehicle with plans through production, something that rarely happens with anything in concept form. I’ve always considered concept technology and vehicles (which I also consider tech) to be creative designs meant to innovate and inspire future creators.

It certainly is refreshing to see a concept make it out to the lot. Of course, to achieve such speeds, the Jaguar C-X75 has been carefully engineered to make sure it has top aerodynamics, carbon composite materials, and hybrid technologies. The car’s “shell” is made of carbon fiber, making it rather lightweight yet robust on the road.

The engine has one electric motor at each axle. The car will be able to go from 0 to 60MPH in less than three seconds and as previously mentioned, will reach speeds greater than 200MPH (of course, you probably shouldn’t test this out unless you’re on a closed course). Oh and one more thing, the car will cost 1.2-1.5 million dollars depending on who you know and where you buy. Either case, the car is stunning. See the video and you’ll see what I mean.
