Lenovo Speeds Boot Time On ThinkPad T420s

The main reason why people love tablets and smartphones is the instant-on feature that allows consumers to start using their devices immediately. Likewise, the “drawback” of laptops and computers is often the boot time it takes, even if all you need to do is shoot off a single e-mail. Lenovo has realized this “problem” and has engineered its ThinkPad T420s to boot in ten seconds or less due to BIOS optimizations coupled with a solid-state drive.

The technology is dubbed RapidBoot Extreme and is part of Lenovo’s Enhanced Experience 2.0 program. The LEE 2.0 also includes reduced time for shutdown or laptop resume, as well as quicker application launch times. Lenovo brags that its RapidBoot technology is the company’s fastest hardware configuration available. Applications with this technology will also boot up at twice the speed.

Not only will you not have to worry about boot times with the T420s, but you’ll also have decent specs. The laptop carries a 14-inch high definition display that runs at 1600 x 900 pixel resolution and is both slim and lightweight. The laptop weighs under 4 pounds and features the latest Intel Core i3 or i5 processors, a DVDRW, 250GB of hard drive space, and 8GB of memory. Consumers can purchase this laptop for $1,630- which is a price to pay for a fast loading computer. Take a look at the video to see what $1,600 gets you with Lenovo.
