HTC Merge Arrives Today
The moment you’ve all been waiting for has just arrived. The HTC Merge is now available on Verizon Wireless. The HTC Merge will feature Android 2.2, Froyo. Although this isn’t the latest Android operating system, Froyo is a solid build and I use the OS on a day-to-day basis. The HTC Merge also features a 3.8-inch touchscreen display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 5MP auto-focus camera with built-in Flash.
You better believe that the 5MP camera is capable of HD video record in 720p. You also get your standard GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G support. Ew, 3G. The Merge is also HTC’s first CDMA phone, allowing users to roam around the world on GSM networks. The phone is also equipped with HTC Sense, Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and as you can see from the photo, looks like an absolute beauty. The phone is simply gorgeous, and the design almost makes me wish it were a 4G phone.
The combination kind of reminds me of the beautiful Nokia E73 Mode with the awful Symbian mobile OS. Talk about sticking an old Chevy engine in a brand new Lamborghini, it just doesn’t match. In any case, let us know if you decide to pick this one up and send us your thoughts!
