Leaked Samsung Gravity Touch 2
According to a leak from tmonews, it looks like Samsung is gearing up for a “part 2” of its Samsung Gravity T phone. The new phone is called the Samsung GT2 and will represent a mid-ranged smartphone on the market for budget users looking to get a taste of froyo without shelling out half a G.
The phone features a 3.2″ touch screen display with slide-out keyboard, a 3MP camera with LED flash to take modest photos, and ship out with Android 2.2 froyo! According to Samsung, this will be the first Gravity phone to be optimized for texting, specifically, group texting.
The phone carries an efficient 800MHz processor, necessary to handle modern smartphone applications and purportedly a smoother gaming experience (of course, depending on what you play.) The phone is set to launch on June 8th of this year with a price of $225. Users can pay $275 and snag the phone sans contract with a $10 data fee. Overall, it looks like a terrific mid-ranged smartphone. It’s not the thinnest nor sleekest, but it does provide the full Android experience and is very suitable to those consumers who are healthily aware of their banks accounts. I’d like to see more smart phones cater to lower budgets in the future.
