That Is One Happy Acer, Literally
Acer has just launched the Acer Happy 2. The netbook has an Intel Atom N570 processor, a modest upgrade over the N550 and comes in very bright colors; pink peach, lemon yellow, orange, papaya and blue curacao, hoping to gage the mind for the upcoming Summer season. I’ve always wondered how it felt like to compute on a brightly colored laptop when you’re in a bad mood. Do the bright colors improve the mood or make it much worse?
Anyways, to those who enjoy brightly colored gadgets, the Acer Aspire One Happy 2 can be combined with a wireless mouse of the same color for a matching look. The ten inch notebook claims the standard eight hour battery life, and a power adapter that is 40% lighter than previous power plugs.
The Happy 2 will also feature b/g/n connectivity, common amongst netbooks of its class with an ethernet port and the option of a Bluetooth 3.0 upgrading, perfect for all your wireless synchronizing. The keyboard has nice large keys, coupled with a large trackpad, allowing for multi-touch input. Memory-wise, the netbook carries 1GB of DDR3 RAM with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 for all things graphical and will be on sale in Italy for 299 Euros. The base model includes a 250GB HDD, a 6-cell battery, and the option of Windows 7 Starter or Android. See the video to check out the original “happy.”
