Rumor: iPhone 5 Release Date
We’ve heard the many rumors circulating around in regards to the iPhone 5. Many originally claimed that the iPhone 5 would debut at the WWDC 2011 until we heard that the worldwide developers conference would focus on software rather than hardware. Yesterday, a vague date of November, 2011 was given from an employee working at his local store.
A guy by the name of Shazna gave a clearer date today of November 21st, 2011 as the release date in the United Kingdom which would make sense given that this would be plenty of time for the iPhone 5 to be constructed. Although we were originally expecting a release date of August or September, Apple has had some problems with the new software according to the same source. It seems that the main difference between the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4 is not only the slightly larger screen size, but also an revamped iOS platform.
While the Nov. 21st date has not been officially confirmed by Apple, we are hoping it holds some weight for those eager to get their hands on the new device. If it does release in November, you can picture extraordinarily long lines at every Apple store and even more crowded malls for the holiday season. Hopefully this rumor is an exaggerated estimation and the iPhone 5 will reach the United States and the United Kingdom at least a month sooner.
