Introducing The Aston Martin Zagato V12
Aston Martin has just revealed the Zagato V12 (not pictured) and will be showing it off at this weekend’s Villa D’Este Concours. The supercar has a 6.0 liter fuel tank and is purported to be the descendant of the DB4GT Zagato, V8 Vantage Zagato, and DB7 Zagato. The supercar claims 510 horsepower and reaches 60mph within 4.1 seconds. The car will essentially come in two flavors; the road version and a racing version that is expected to launch May 28th of this year.
If you take a close look, you’ll see that the aluminum body’s handcrafted look gives it that traditional Aston Martin look while equipped with the power of 510 horses. Two words: Closed course. You don’t want to be testing the limits of this bad boy on the streets or highways, common knowledge for most but I feel it had to be restated for a few trigger-happy folks, like myself.
The CEO of Aston Martin stated, “The Zagato design language is a perfect complement to our design and engineering expertise. After 50 years of the two companies being associated with each other the partnership has produced some of the world’s most iconic cars…”The task for us has been to create a concept that is a natural successor to those iconic cars that have gone before. Matching the technology of the age with the traditional skills vital to deliver such a bespoke and exclusive sports car will lead to a strictly limited run of road going V12 Zagatos.”
