Full Details On Motorola Droid 3
We’ve covered the Droid 3 after we caught some leaked photos on the Internet. The device will carry a 4″ qHD display, and as we have previously seen from the photos, a full QWERTY keyboard. Now, the slide-out keyboard doesn’t feature Island keys like the HTC G2, so you may encounter a number of typos here and there, especially if you are texting in a rush.
The device will also be powered by a dual-core processor, although we are unsure whether it will be an Nvidia Tegra 2 or TI OMAP. The phone will feature an HDMI out port and a front-facing camera (unsure of the pixels) with an 8MP rear camera. The shiny piece of hardware is expected to hit stores this June and will not (sorry folks) be supporting Verizon’s 4G LTE network. We’re waiting to learn more about pricing but this phone seems okay.
I don’t know if it is because I have medium-sized fingers, but the keyboard is a deal breaker for me. I require island keys like the HTC G2 to successfully be able to type quickly without having a bunch of typos. Also, how does Motorola expect you to accurately type out a message when you’re excessively tired or upset? Maybe they just rather you call the person so you can bite into your minutes? Who knows anymore!
