Sigma Announces 46MP Camera
Electronics manufacturer, Sigma has just released a very high-end 46 megapixel DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) camera that is sure to capture the highest quality photos. Hitting the ultra-high benchmark of megapixels doesn’t come easy. Sigma used a three-layer sensor, made up of 15MP per layer, using a True II Image processor.
The super sharp camera also produces 100 to 6,400 iso sensitivity, 11-point auto-focus and has a magnesium body with sealed o-rings. The camera features a three-inch 460,000 color LCD that ensures the photographer that only the best photos be taken. The camera will ship early in June for $9,700.
Even though the price is high and quite out of a budget for most photographers, you really get what you pay for here! Kind of like how you’d expect to pay over a million dollars for a 16-cylinder car versus a 10-cylinder car. You can no undoubtedly get an awesome car for under a million, but spending those extra dollars can sometimes give you a whole lot of power. For all you wallet watchers out there, I can bet that this camera will halve in price in a few years. Take a look at the video below to learn more about this Sigma (back when it was in a prototype).
