Hop On Verizon’s Fast 4G LTE Network
Verizon’s Wireless 4G LTE network is relatively new, receiving a fresh start just six months ago, the network is still quite fast for those just starting out with Verizon. If you’re looking to join the fun, I recommend checking out the Novatel Wireless E362 as an exceptional internal LTE modem. If your laptop isn’t already equipped with a WiFi card, or even if it is, you’ll still be able to upgrade to Verizon’s speedy 4G LTE by popping this bad boy in.
Users should be able to easily install the modem cards themselves by unscrewing a couple screws and fitting the new cartridge in much like you would with an older Nintendo game cartridge. The card itself is powered by Qualcomm’s MDM9600 chipset giving full support to the CDMA/EVDO network on both 850 MHz and 1900MHz bands. Users also enjoy GSM/GPRS on all four bands and 42Mbps HSPA+ on each of the four band frequencies, when Verizon 4G LTE support is non-existant.
Do note that you’ll need to purchase a monthly data plan from Verizon if you intend to purchase this card. If money’s tight, you may want to stick to pre-existing WiFi networks such as those in the home or office before going out and spending a fixed set of dollars each month for ‘anywhere-connectivity.’
