HP Unleashes Shiny New Pavilion Notebooks
Hewlett-Packard quietly unleashed its new lineup up shiny Pavilion notebooks. The new notebooks feature Intel’s latest and greatest, Sandy Bridge processors. The new laptop is called the Pavilion G6S and features a vibrant but classy color and contains a 15.6″ (1366 by 768 resolution) and gives consumers a choice between the Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 processors.
The form-factor and chassis remind me of the DV6770SE model, the company had back in 2008. I have to say that I am not impressed with the resolution as that same resolution is often used for 13″ notebooks. You might ask what makes this laptop so good if it’s a re-hashed DV6770SE.
Well, the specs have doubled in those 3 years and the price has halved, isn’t that good enough? Users who shell out $550 for this machine will get 6GB of memory, a 750GB hard drive, optional* AMD Radeon HD 6470M graphics card and the choice of selecting one of four vibrant colors. This will be a good entry-level machine that should be able to handle Photoshop like nothing. In gaming, users will probably be limited to Counterstrike: Source or Half Life 2. The laptop should be able to play World Of Warcraft as well. Take a look at the video to see each color available.
