Pantech Vega No. 5 – Leak
The Korean blog, Bodnara has just received a first glance at Pantech’s new Gingerbread device called the Vega No. 5. We are not quite sure whether it is a tablet or a smartphone but we know it has a nice rap sheet. The slim piece of hardware has a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor with 1GB of DDR2 RAM and dual cameras (8MP in the back). The gadget has 16GB of built-in storage and near-fields communications to make all your shopping easy and save you the hassle of flipping open your wallet!
The gizmo has a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and carries the beauty of qHD with an increased screen size to bring you full-sized photos. From the photos, it looks like the gadget has a screen size between four and five inches and given the fact that it is called the No. 5, I am placing my beters on the latter.
We are not sure if this Android gadget will be coming to the United States and Europe as it seems to be a predominantly Asian phone. We hope that NFC really catches fire here in the U.S. as well and would like to see all the new phones carry this awesome new electronic payment system. Hopefully we won’t be receiving any medical reports that it causes brain cancer ten years down the road!
