Leak: MSI WindPad 7, ARMed With 1.2GHz Of Power
It looks like MSI is not focusing solely on ten-inch tablets this year, as the company will be introducing a new seven inch Android tablet called the WindPad 7. To me, “Windpad” sounds like a Windows tablet, but hey, whatever makes them happy! The seven inch model features a zippy 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor which will give your table the boost it needs in life.
Users will be able to enjoy Android Gingerbread on the 800 x 480 pixel capacitive multitouch display and will get 512MB of RAM to play with. The device comes with 4GB of onboard storage, definitely not a whole lot of space to play with, but if you’re like most people, you’ll use the tablet mainly for surfing the net and won’t be downloading large files to the device itself.
If I am wrong in my assumption, you’ll want to check out other tablets that offer 32GB of storage built-in. For connectivity, users will be happy with the provided 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1. The WindPad 7 contains an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and a modest 2MP camera with HDMI USB, and microSD card ports.
Weighing in at just under a pound, consumers will definitely not be breaking their backs with this little puppy. We do not have any launch date or price point in mind for this tablet just yet, but you will likely learn those details at Computex later this week. The leaked specs come from Notebook Italia. We don’t have any photos just yet so hang tight, for now- enjoy the Origami Android at the top!
