KT Telecom Reveals TAKE Janus KM-S200

The Korean wireless carrier, KT Telecom has just priced the TAKE Janus KM-S200. The TAKE Janus looks similar to the Samsung Galaxy S and is the world’s first 1.5GHz dual-core smartphone. The device runs a tried and true Qualcomm MSM8260 and features 1GB of RAM, as well as a vibrant 4.3″ qHD display, running a resolution of 960 x 540.

The Janus KM-S200 shoots full HD 1080p video and has an eight megapixel camera with an integrated DMB-TV digital tuner. With 16GB of storage, you can be sure to pack your favorite songs in this little device, and a 1.3MP front-facing camera lets you video chat with friends. The device is well equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and HSPA, which lets you roam internationally.

If these specs didn’t make you drool just yet, know that this piece of hardware will be bundled with Google’s award winning Android Gingerbread software, coupled with USIM payment support. After seeing these specs, you’ll still probably suffer from sticker shock, as the price is $740. Consumers will be able to grab the phone in black, white, or two-tone black & white. No two year contract on this phone, since it’s a Korean make, sorry folks- you’re stuck with paying retail.
