$249 Android Tablet By ViewSonic
ViewSonic has just announced that it will offer an Android-powered 7-inch tablet called the ViewBook 730 for $249.99. The tablet is an excellent entry-tablet for Android fans and features an 800 x 400 pixel resistive touchscreen display, along with a stylus for writing and drawing. The tablet features 512MB of RAM which should be enough to run a couple apps simultaneously.
The tablet features a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor and has 8GB of storage. The new tablet offers up to eight hours of fun-filled tablet activity which is pretty impressive for a low-budget tablet. Now it does run Android, but not Honeycomb. Users will have to be content with Android 2.2, Froyo if they are to enjoy the low cost of this deal.
Consumers who buy this piece of technology will use the Amazon Appstore to install apps on the new device. Other apps to be packaged, include; Amazon’s Kindle, MP3, shopping apps, Twitter, Mediafly, and YouTube.
The device supports Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and while it isn’t the cheapest budget tablet out there, I truly believe that one gets what one pays for. Check out the video below to learn more about this awesome tablet.
