Awesome New Xbox360 Gaming Headsets
I think it is safe to say that the Xbox360 is here to stay. After Microsoft proudly noted that 40% of Xbox360 use is for non-gaming purposes (such as using Hulu plus or Netflix), and the recent mention of Halo 4 due for the 2012 holidays, I think it’s safe to expect the next-generation Xbox to arrive sometime in 2013.
I might be wrong on this, but as you can see from Windows 8 leaks, Microsoft isn’t too good about keeping the clamp on its work, and I am sure we would have heard mention of the next-generation Xbox by now, if there were one. But that’s all in the future, let’s focus on the present with these new Wireless gaming headsets for the Xbox 360.
The headsets were designed and built by MadCatz and the first one up is called the Tritton Warhead 7.1 Dolby Wireless Surround headset that will support 5.8GHz wireless technology. With 50mm neodymium drivers, two rechargeable battery packs, built-in EQ, and padded earcups, you can be sure to enjoy your favorite games for hours on end without disrupting your roommates or other members living in your habitat.
Next up, we have the Tritton Devastator Wireless Stereo Headset that will support stereo (rather than surround) sound and will run on AA batteries. Before you lift your nose to the mention of AA batteries, just be sure to snag a couple rechargeable batteries so you don’t have to worry about going through dozens of packs per year. No word on pricing for these accessories, but you can expect them to ship by Christmas of this year.
