Motorola Titanium, Full Specs Announced
A successor to the Motorola i1, the Motorola Titanium (pictured top) is sure to turn a few heads. Featuring a full QWERTY keyboard, a 3.1″ touchscreen display, and the Android operating system, this mobile device is likely geared to be a budget phone.
Surprisingly, the phone features the old-school Android 2.1 Eclair. The phone’s key feature is that it is supposedly military grade, dust-proof, shock-proof, low pressure, solar radiation-proof, and can withstand extreme temperatures, both high and low.
With a 5MP camera on the back, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR1 embedded and Quickoffice, productivity is just a few taps away. The device is equipped with a 32GB capable microSD card slot stocked with a 2GB onboard card, and WiFi 802.11 b/g and integrated GPS.
The device weighs just 5.2 ounces and should have plenty of battery life on the 1820mAh battery, given how small its screen is. This was designed to be a robust phone meant to last you through the years. Let us know what you think if you own one of these bad boys.
If the knowledge of the pre-installed Eclair OS is a turn off, just realize that an Android is an Android, and in this economy it’s better to get a durable phone than the latest and greatest.
