Toshiba Introduces New L700 And C600 Laptops
Toshiba has just revamped its Satellite L700 and C600 Series laptops, starting at $380, you’ll certainly be interested in these 15.6″ laptops, powered by AMD.
For the low price, the notebooks start out with an AMD single-core E-240 processor with AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics. To make up for the slow processor, Toshiba is packing 3GB of DDR3 memory clocked in at 1066MHz and 250GB of hard drive space to store your files.
The hard drive runs at 5400RPM, which isn’t as fast as normal 7200RPM hard drives, but then again, you get what you pay for. Users will also have access to a 15.6″ LED backlit display, rocking a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Consumers will also enjoy a basic webcam, and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and megabit Ethernet.
The device comes shipped with Windows 7 Home Premium, making this a healthy alternative to a netbook, if comparing solely on price. Do note that for $70 more, you can upgrade the processor, hard drive, and DVD burner, or even configure your own machine.
The L700 Series will be available in 13.3″, 14″, 15.6″, and 17.3″ and while the laptop should function well, this is by no means a “future-proof” laptop to stay with you throughout the years. This is an honest, solid working computer and would make a great purchase if your current laptop recently died.
