Check Facebook Through Excel-like Program At Work

If you enjoy checking up your latest Facebook updates, browsing your friends’ walls, or just goofing off here and there while you’re at work, you’re going to want to check this out. There’s now a program called Excell Book, a way to be on Facebook while making it look like you’re working (at least from a glance).

The software is designed by the apparel company, Diesel and works by useing Facebook Connect. With Excell Book open, users are able to update statuses, ‘like’ content, and even instant-message with friends through a seemingly harmless user interface.

The links you see within the application are all clickable and the software is available for both Mac and PC. In order to get it up and running, all you’ll need is Adobe Air, the same software that powers TweetDeck and Yammer.

Although, I do not recommend goofing off at work, as it usually shows through your work-this may be a better alternative than visiting the site itself. Of course, the best alternative would be to save Facebook for after hours.
