Get The Full Scoop On The PSP Vita!

We’ve briefly covered the PlayStation Vita, Sony’s next generation portable gaming console, but I wanted to cover it in-depth this time, now that we know more about it. The PSP Vita is powered by an ARM Cortex A9 processor, a PowerVR SGX543MP4+ GPU.

As we have wrote before, the WiFi and 3G model will cost $300 in the US while the Wifi only model will be $249, and it is expected to ship on November 4th of this year, making it a hot commodity.

Please note that older PSP games will not work as there is no UMD slot on this new model, games are loaded via flash-based memory cards. The screen is a beautiful 5″ capacitive multitouch OLED display rocking a 16:9 resolution at 960 x 544 pixels. Although the OLED is sure to look beautiful at first glance, some believe it to be strenuous on the eyes when playing videogames for long periods of time.

The rear camera will be able to record video at 60fps on a 640 x 480 resolution or 120fps on a 320 x 240 resolution. Check out the list of game titles below for an idea of what will be available on the awesome new platform!
