New Snapdragon-Powered Sharp Smartphone- LEAKED!

It looks like Sharp is working on another Android smartphone, with the model number SH8188U representing it. No clue on how large the screen is on this slate, and it will be running Android 2.2 Froyo, telling us that we don’t deserve Gingerbread? But what about the holidays?

In either case, it will have WiFi, HDMI output, and HD video recording via the 5MP camera. The device will be fueled by a roaring 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

With Bluetooth capabilities, this smartphone is destined for a launch in the United States, Europe, and Asia. We’re not sure about the pricing or availability just yet but I would guess a 2011 launch is imminent.

Although the device looks simple, it looks clean and simple, and to tell you the truth, I like it. From the photos, it does not appear that we are dealing with an OLED screen which is a good thing, no excess strain on the eyes when in a long period of use.

Judging by the looks, the phone seems like it would retail between $450 and $550, but these are just some estimates. What do you guys think, compared to the HTC Thunderbolt? Do they compare?
