Meet The Samsung Conquer 4G From Sprint
Conquer your phone without conquering your wallet, and do so with Samsung’s new Conquer 4G from Sprint (pictured top). The Android Gingerbread smartphone features a beautiful 3.5″ HVGA capacitive touchscreen that gives you just enough screen real-estate without it being overbearing (unlike those larger 4.3″ models).
The device carries a fast 1GHz processor and has a 3.2MP rear-camera to take some basic snaps of your friends and family. The 1.3MP front facing camera lets you stay in touch through voice conferencing.
The phone operates on a tri-band CDMA and includes 800MHz frequencies. The phone is thought to be a ‘less intense’ model than the EVO 3D, although it does come with 4G radio (no buffering times).
Sprint hasn’t formally introduced the smartphone yet, but we hope it does, soon. In the meanwhile, we should see some reviews flying in during the next few weeks and we’ll be able to give a more thorough analysis on the mobile device.
If the AT&T merger does go through, I can only hope that it will spark a motivation in Sprint to continue rolling out fancy phones to compete against the massive fused network of AT&T and T-Mobile.
I also wonder if or when Sprint will discontinue their unlimited data plans, and join the rest of the carriers.
