It’s Finally Here: Samsung Galaxy Z
Samsung has just unveiled the new Galaxy Z smartphone and it was first announced by the Swedish carrier, Three, rather than your expected Korean company. The Galaxy Z is truly a beautiful phone, rocking a 4.2″ SC-LCD screen and a rear 5MP camera that shoots 720p video.
Powered by a Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, this phone delivers 1GHz of dual-core processing on two Cortex A9 cores. The chassis measures out to 125.3mm x 66.1mm x 9.5mm and will weigh exactly 135 grams.
The 8GB of internal storage can also be expanded by a microSD memory card slot, allowing you to make a massive upgrade to 32GB. The price itself, isn’t too offensive considering what you get, it comes out to about $630 or 435 Swedish kronor. Sweden is also offering it for free if you sign up with a two year contract.
Does it compare with the newer HTC 8MP models? Sure it does. If you’re not a megapixel junkie, this phone will deliver you an awesome Android Gingerbread phone without paying insane prices that close in on $1,000.
Specs-wise it is very similar to an HTC and is surely just as sleek. Buttons are kept simple with a back button and a menu button allowing all your other interactions to be touch-based. Track to www.facebook.com/techmento and leave us some comments about this phone!
