Online Shopping Glitch Lets Customers Shop For Free
Online shoppers in New Zealand were stocking up on incredible electronic bargains after a glitch on the Dick Smith website let users purchase items at no cost.
Dick Smith were forced to temporarily take down their New Zealand homepage after online shoppers were able to purchase goods, prompted to pay nothing but the cost of postage and handling. Only the New Zealand website was affected, and shoppers using the Australian site were able to continue shopping as usual, albeit without the super-sale prices.
These items ranged from plasma televisions, smart phones, computers and more, and everything was marked down to nothing.
The glitch affected the site in New Zealand by allowing a customer to purchase a 46-inch plasma TV and all he had to pay for was the shipping charges.
The question that now arises is will the shoppers receive the items?
The answer, each person who purchased from the website during the glitch period will be contacted to see if they would like a refund for the shipping charges they paid for or if they would like to go ahead and repurchase the items at the current and correct price.
