HTC Is Launching A Facebook Phone Known As Status

The HTC Status which is AT&Ts first Gingerbread handset, is a revised version of HTC Cha Cha, a new Facebook phone with the HTC Sense Technology. It has a dedicated Facebook button so you can manage and connect with Facebook very comfortably.

In HTC phones, this is the first one running on Android 2.3.3. It is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor which has a speed of 800MHz (previous phones had a speed of 600MHz). HTC Status has a very comfortable QWERTY keyboard with plenty of space between the keys, and a dedicated button for Facebook. It also has additional Facebook Apps.

The HTC Status is available at AT&T Mobilty at a price of $49.99. It’s dimensions are 4.5 x 2.5 x 0.4 inches and a weight of 4.3 ounces only. It’s keyboard is tilted a bit upward for better grip and typing convenience. It’s screen size is 2.6 inches with a 480×320 TFT LCD capacitive touch screen with a landscape orientation. It is different because most Android phones have a portrait orientation.

The white colour of the Status makes it more impressive. On the backside of the phone, there is a steel strip with HTC logo on it.
