LG Slide Concept Phone With Rollout Tablet Screen
Jason Betty designed the LG Slide Phone as a concept design that basically combines your small cell phone with a larger sized netbook computer. Although this has done before, I have to admit that this concept looks a lot cooler than what we have seen in the past.
The LG Slide phone is not only sleek and lightweight, but it’s so thin it can fit in an ordinary wallet. If this concept ever made it to production, it would allow users to seamlessly use and send documents that have already been stored to their cellphone, but with the ability to roll out a paper thin keyboard.
Of course, you could achieve the same exact result by transferring data/files to an SD card and slipping it into a tablet PC and using its virtual keybaord, so we’re not sure how popular these units would be if they ever saw the light.
Also, we’re not sure how durable the keyboard/tablet-like extension would be considering that it would be a roll-out, but it’s a neat feature to think about.
I guess the biggest concern I would have would be durability over the course of a few years, with my next concern revolving around the keyboard’s touch sensitivity. Let us know what you think at facebook.com/techmento!
