Ubuntu One Raises Free Cloud Storage To 5GB

If you’ve enjoyed Linux products in the past, you will enjoy this. To celebrate Unbuntu One’s 1 million users, they have announced this week that it will increase the free capacity of Ubuntu’s online cloud storage system from 2GB to 5GB.

Yup, that’s right, you heard it here, your space is about to grow over 100%. You can claim your new storage limit directly from the Ubuntu One Free website, or simply sign up for an account.

Now, if 5GB isn’t going to do it for you, you can also opt to pay a bit more for up to 20GB of storage. You can learn more about the special offer, here, and be sure to tweet us @techmento and let us know what you think of the new storage plan. Isn’t free stuff great?

I wonder what kind of promotion they can set up when they reach ten million users. Wink. Wink. Take a glimpse at the video for a quick look at the platform.
