Leak: Sony Working On 4.7″ 3D Smartphone
When will Sony choose to draw the line between smartphone and tablet? Well, I can’t answer that one just yet, but I can tell you that Sony Ericsson is planning a massive 4.7″ 3D smartphone device.
The gadget will be glasses-free and will have a super sharp resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. To put that number in perspective, that’s like transferring a standard resolution from a 13″ laptop screen onto a 4.7″ screen, offering extremely sharp images.
Since this is one of those really early leaks, we don’t have much more information beyond that, but you can expect that the device will likely have a dual-core Snapdragon processor.
After all, can Sony really risk launching a phone with all bark and no bite? I don’t think so. But for some, the screen size may prove to be a bit too big. Of course, this will be the optimal solution for those who want a mini-tablet like device without having to carry it around at work.
