Samsung’s Latest Firmware Leaked

Samsung was working on two new Firmwares for their two Galaxy S smartphones: Epic 4G and Galaxy S 4G. But to Samsung’s disappointment, the new Firmwares were leaked even before Samsung announced them. A tech website SamFirmware has been able to get hands on the new firmware updates.

The Epic 4G is currently bonded with Sprint’s 4G network and the Galaxy S 4G with T-Mobile. These firmware updates bring some serious improvements in the overall user experience. The update for the Epic 4G is named EG22 while the update for Galaxy S 4G is codenamed KG4. The current version of Android running on the machines is 2.3.4, Gingerbread.

The N100 MeeGo Has Been Unleashed By Samsung

Samsung has yet again managed drop a bombshell known as the N100. The South Korean tech giant has always been in the spotlight for its innovation and unique technological products. The company recently launched the N100 netbook in India.

N100 is based on a dual core Intel Atom processor. This super handy device weighs just 2.27 pounds which ensures focus on the computational capability and connectivity on the move. The design of the N100 is actually based on the super hit N150P Netbook which sold over 3 million units till 2011.

RIM Cuts 2,000 Employees!

The BlackBerry maker and Canadian tech giant, Research In Motion (RIM) has broadcasted plans to let go 2,000 employees or roughly a tenth of its labor force. The news was announced in their Q1 2012 financial results.

The action is said to be a part of a previously announced cost-cutting effort. The move comes as the company is facing callous criticism from several employees and industrial analysts. The cutback will have an effect on all functions across the company and are a part of the plan.

Avatar Kinect Launched By Microsoft

The moment we all have been waiting for has finally arrived. Microsoft has released Avatar Kinect. Avatar Kinect is a technology which will be used in Xbox for online video chat application.

Avatar Kinect uses Kinect sensors to track the movement of your mouth, eyebrows and expressions and translates all these movements to the avatar in your screen. When a person stands in front of the sensors and talks or using his hand gestures, the avatar responds in the same way.

Microsoft Extending It’s Deal With SUSE

Around five years ago, Microsoft made an arrangement with SUSE to work on Interoperability between Windows and Linux. The agreement was for around 5 years, but now Microsoft has extended it’s deal with SUSE.

The duration of the extended agreement is again of a period of 5 years i.e. the deal will go on till 2016. Microsoft will also invest an amount of $100 million in the new SUSE Linux Enterprise certificates.

SUSE was founded in the year 1992. It’s main focus was to deploy enterprise wide solutions for Linux.

Amazon Puts A Halt To Nintendo 3DS Shipments

Intel has just shipped two ultra-low voltage Celeron processors, designed for budget netbooks and laptops. The two chips offer speed and performance for all types of users.

The single core Celeron 787 chip offers a clock speed of 1.3GHz, 1.5MB of RAM and is priced at $107. If you’re looking for a bit more power though, check out the dual-core Celeron 857 with a clock speed of 1.2GHz, 2MB of RAM, and running for $134.

Apple’s Grand Central Store Gets Approval

Apple has just won its bid to takeover a 23,000 sq. ft space in Grand Central Station for a new Apple store in New York City. The company agreed to a ten year lease at $800,000 a year, and the store is expected to be one of Apple’s largest and most grandiose stores yet.

The company sent their bid in a few weeks back to the owners of Grand Central Station, the MTA (Metropolitan Transit Authority), and Apple will send in their blueprints in the coming weeks.

Amy Whinehouse passed away recently over the weekend. Since then everyone has been wondering and asking about the cause of her death. There are no official reports on the cause of her death as there were no signs of foul play.

Some scammers who don’t feel pity about anything have turned her death into some kind of a joke. They have created a feed on Facebook claiming to show the video of Amy Whinehouse’s last moments.

Although, there is no official video or even report of the final moments of Amy Whinehouse,
