The One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) has announced the details about its forthcoming slate. The tablet will be a budget computing solution for the children mainly in developing countries.

The XO-3 tablet will possibly be released early next year. The tablet was initially publicized in late 2009 with an estimated cost of less than US$100.

Apple Releasing Mac OS X Lion On USB Drive

Apple has been planning on releasing Mac OS X Lion on a physical drive since May. And now it seems that the day is near. Apple is about to launch a USB Drive in August which would contain the new Mac OS X Lion for customers who want their Lion Operating System in a Physical Drive.

The proposed price of this USB Drive is about $69. This is almost the double price of what you would pay if you downloaded Lion from the Mac App Store.

Google Detects Malware Causing Search Traffic

Google has just detected a malware on users’ system which causes unnecessary search traffic on the servers. Google has tried to overcome this problem by sending a notification on every computer that might be infected.

Google found out that this unusual traffic was due to a malicious software on users’ computers. Google claims that this malware might have infected users’ computer through other websites which the user himself might be unaware of. Hence, by notifying the user on their Google search page, Google can make the user to take an action against it.
