World’s Smallest Battery

Research at Rice University has proved that the work done by Lithium-Ion batteries can also be done with very tiny batteries, which Rice University just produced.

The researchers have packed the energy produced by an entire Lithium-Ion battery into a small nanowire. This battery is 6 times thinner than a bacterium, 100 times thinner than a human hair and 60,000 times smaller than a AAA batttery.

Chrome OS Has Been Hacked, What Now?

After Google has stated time and time again how secure its Chrome operating system was, we’ve just got wind that the operating system has been hacked. Now, before you start freakin’ out, don’t worry, it wasn’t some 14 year old.

The hackers were actually two researchers from the Black Hat security conference with White Hat security and they got through the ScratchPad- a Chrome application that lets you compose text files and save them to Google Docs.

Motorola Launching 3.5 Inch Android Smartphone

Motorola Mobility announced to launch it’s latest XT531 Android smartphone which they claim is a budget-friendly smartphone. The smartphone will be released in China.

The XT531 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread featuring a 800MHz chipset and 512 onboard memory. It has a 5MP camera with built in flash and auto focus. It also has a front VGA camera for video calls and online chat.

Google Not Paying Its Employees??

iOS and Android are the two largest mobile operating systems today, and while Apple has paid over $2.5 billion dollars to its developers, we wonder what exactly is happening over at Google’s end.

According to a report by The Register, Android developers receipts aren’t matching the actual number that they are selling and are only getting paid for half of their applications.

Hewlett-Packard launched it’s new HP TouchPad tablet recently in July. The price of the TouchPad initially was $499. But, what has caused this Tablet to land at Woot with just a price of $379 ???

We have been noticing continuous dropping of the price of HP TouchPad since it’s launch. Last weekend, HP dropped the price abruptly to $400 only. This is not over yet, now we can find an HP TouchPad on Woot for only $379. which is 120 dollars less than the launch price of this tablet.

Vonage Launching iPhone App “Time To Call”

Vonage has just announced to launch a new calling application known as Time To Call which will compete Skype and other rivals.

Time to Call is an iPhone Application which allows users to call any number in around 100 countries for the duration of 15 minutes, just for a dollar or two. While for other 90 countries, under 10 dollars are charged for 15 minutes.

The money for every call is deducted from a user’s iTunes account as an in-app purchase.
