It looks like Intel is working on some ultra-low voltage processors that are based on the Sandy Bridge core and would be the perfect match for the MacBook Air. According to a leak, the Core i5 and i7 processors will be getting a boost. The 1.4GHz cpu will be getting raised to 1.6GHz. The Core i5 2557M will run at 1.7GHz with a Turbo Boost to 2.7GHz, and the Core i7 models would each get a boost of 100MHz in processing power and Turbo Boost of up to 2.9GHz of power.
Each of the processors will be dual-core, Hyperthreaded processors with graphics cores ranging from 350MHz to 1.2GHz with full throttle. Each of the chips are also expected to arrive later this year.
