Panasonic has just stated that it will be using 3D cameras to film the entire French Open in 3D, with the help of Eurosport. Panasonic will be using the AG-3DP1 camcorder which will be used to broadcast the tennis match live for the first time. The camera is being used in concerto with the recently developed 17x twin zoom lens system.
If you’re not into geek talk, I highly suggest skipping over the next sentence. The AG-3D camera will be used with two AK-HC1800 box cameras, six AV-HS450 Multi-format live switchers, P2 Mobile-Memory Card Portable Recorder/Player, BT-3DL2550 3D production monitors and BT-LH910 3D production monitors.
