What To Look For When Buying An HDTV

When you’re browsing online for the right HDTV, it can sometimes be hard to know exactly what you’re getting into. Unlike shopping through regular ‘bricks and mortar’ stores such as Best Buy or Target, shopping online requires a deep understanding of the specs since you cannot see the picture quality directly on the site, although you may be able to YouTube a review.

When you’re browsing through TVs, try to get one that has a 120Hz refresh rate, as these offer much better picture than 60Hz, and is often work the extra dollar spent. 240Hz screens are usually used for 3D picture, and split the 240Hz into two 120Hz (one for each eye). Unless you plan on doing some 3D watching, I suggest sticking with the 120Hz screens.
