Free 3D VOD From Samsung Reaches India

Samsung’s 3D Video On Demand service is now available for Indian consumers. The VOD service is already available in South Korea and will allow users to watch 3D video content on their 3DTVs without any additional fees.

Users will only need a couple things to get started. First, they have to download the Explore 3D app from the Samsung TV apps store. The second thing is, obviously, having a 3DTV. Those two things will allow users to enjoy hot content such as movie trailers, music videos, documentaries, you name it!

Is Sony Playstation 3D Monitor Landing In December?

All of you PS3 fans out there! There’s another attraction coming for you this December. At E3 2011, Sony, along with announcing PlayStation Vita, also announced a 3D LED display for PlayStation 3.

However, Sony didn’t announce the release date of this new monitor for PS3. The LED monitor is quite impressive, featuring a 24″ 3D display and will support 1080p resolution. It means that players will be able to enjoy their games in true HD. Also, the monitor will deliver 3D video.

Huawei Launches Vision With Android Gingerbread

Huawei, though not very successful in the smartphone industry, just keeps on pushing smartphones in the market. A recent example of Huawei, was their Ideos smartphone series had not been very successful because of bulky designs and average specs.

But now, it seems as if Huawei has learned a lesson. The company announced it’s all-new Huawei Vision in Beijing today. Although it is not a high end smartphone, it packs some pretty nice features and hardware. It will come loaded with Android Gingerbread 2.3 and some sort of “3D interface”.

Nintendo Takes 40% Off 3DS Price Tag

Nintendo is already going down the success slope because of poor sales of its recently released 3D gaming console, Nintendo 3DS. This has put Nintendo in some serious trouble. In order to manage the company so that it doesn’t become bankrupt, Nintendo is forced to cut the price of its gaming console in two of the major regions of its availability.

Nintendo 3DS was initially sold for 25000 yen in Japan and for $249-99 in US. It seems that in order to cover the manufacturing costs, Nintendo has reduced the price of their console by as much as 40%. The same console which was sold for 25000 yen would now be available for 15000 yen in Japan and for approximately $150 in US.

The panoramic feature is the widest employed feature in imaging devices. If you are unfamiliar with panoramic, it is a type of photography which allows you to join a series of pictures creating a panorama like 3D view.

Up until now, Panoramic photography was limited to only digital cameras, which came equipped with such lenses that allowed them to capture panoramic stills.

Panasonic Reveals The World’s Lightest 3D Glasses

Everybody is so into 3D nowadays. Watching 3D movies, Playing 3D games, this is the new hype, and whether you’re on board or not with the 3D revolution, it’s still here.

For 3D viewing purposes, either 3D glasses or a LED TV with 3D capable LED display is used. Although 3D glasses are not a new thing, folks have been looking to see something extremely lightweight so that the user doesn’t feel like he is wearing glasses. So here comes Panasonic with its TY-EW3D series.

Olympus E-PL3 Coming This September

With Sony having released its entry level DSLRs: the alpha-nex 3D ad alpha-nex 5D, Electronics rival Olympus has also planned to release a camera having features both of a compact camera and a DSLR. Therefore, Olympus announced its interchangeable lens camera, the Olympus E-PL3 in June. But no information was provided regarding the price and release date of the unit.

Now, Olympus has at least announced the month of its arrival in the US which is September 2011. The camera will feature a 12.3 megapixel sensor with an interchangeable lens capability, a Live MOS sensor, TruePic VI image processors and an ISO ceiling of 12,800.

The New Samsung Galaxy R

Samsung’s Galaxy lineup is expanding really fast, and there has been another addition to the row with the launching of Galaxy R. The phone is shipped to the UK and it has many matching functions with the well-liked Samsung Galay S II.

The Samsung Galaxy, features a smaller display than the Galaxy S II. Although the display measures 4.2 inches, it features the same 480 x 800 pixel resolution as Galaxy S II. The Display is also said to be a Super LCD display rather than a Super AMOLED display on the S II.

Sony Creates The World’s Thinnest Camera-Sony DSC-TX55

When it comes to superb image capturing, Sony‘s Cyber-shot series is on top of it. Every year, Sony comes up with some very cool digital cameras for the photo lovers.

This time Sony has created what they claim to be the world’s slimmest camera, the Cyber-shot DSC-TX55. The camera is just 12.2 mm thick being 5 mm less thicker than the Sony’s DSC-TX10.
