AMD has announced that they will be releasing a mid-range graphics card later this year. The card was built to compete with Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 550 Ti and and is based on the technology, Barts LE core shared by the Radeon HD 6800 range.
The card will feature 10 fast streaming multiprocessor units that contain a 800 stream processors, coupled with 40 texture units, 32 ROPs, a GDDR5-capable memory controller and a 256-bit interface. The design has 1GB of GDDR5 RAM and a core clock of 840mhz, at 1,050MHz speed. If you don’t know what any of that means, it’s basically a very powerful card for your moderate user.
