Twitter Gears Up To Launch Photo Sharing Service

Twitter has some exciting news for users around the world! The social media giant is geared up to launch its own photo-sharing service, due next week. All I can say is, beware Twitpic and Yfrog! Twitter is currently set on revealing the upcoming photo-sharing service at the D9 conference in California. Twitter’s CEO, Dick Costolo will formally introduced the new image sharing service on Wednesday.

Although current third party image sharing sites make their money through the advertisements displayed, it is uncertain how the new Twitter’s business model will work. Some expect the new service to work similar to Twing.com.

Google: The Web Is What You Make Of It

I have never once seen a commercial from Google, until today. That’s what gives it the impact, the fact that a Google commercial is such a rarity. I’ve seen PLENTY of Apple commercials, plenty of Microsoft commercials, plenty of Sony commercials, and plenty of Dell commercials, but never once a Google commercial. This new commercial by Google is called “Dear Sophie” and shows a father chronicling the life of his daughter by sending email notes with photos and videos as she grows up with the intention of someday sharing this e-mail account with her.

Apple has come out with a series of ads titled “If You Don’t Have an iPhone” which plays of the notion that the iPhone has more features and is superior to other smartphones.

While I admit the iPhone was revolutionary, the ads make it seem that if you don’t have an iPhone, you are not cool enough or hip enough. The ads try to make it seem as if Apple has the best notebooks, MP3 players, and App store features, but in reality, there are great alternatives on other platforms too…
