Hulu Plus Arrives To 4 More Android Devices

Have you been waiting for Hulu Plus to arrive on more Android devices than the six currently supported? If you can’t get enough of your favorite television shows, the answer is probably ‘yes’ and we have good news for you!

The new devices to get Hulu lovin’ are the Sprint Evo 4G, T-Mobile G2, T-Mobile myTouch 4G, and the Verizon Thunderbolt. While it’s cool that Hulu is targeting the major cell phones, I still feel a bit bad for those who have a lesser known Android device.

More Dirt On The Amazon Tablet Surfaces

We’re learning more and more about the upcoming Amazon Android tablet, and it’s getting more interesting by the week. As of now, we are expecting the tablet to be released in October of this year, with an expected production line of 1.5 million units.

The tablet will be a bit smaller than you standard 10″, but will stand strong nonetheless with its 9″ screen. The expected 2011 production goal would be around 5 million units, including all quarters, posing a possible ‘risk’ for Apple’s iPad 2 business.

PayPal Rolls Out Phone-To-Phone NFC Support

As the months continue on, NFC becomes less of a hearsay and more of a reality, and PayPal appears to be one of the founding fathers leading the movement. Although Google took a major leap forward when it said that it will support NFC payments, we have yet to see a full rollout on Android devices.

PayPal has just announced something a bit more interesting however, it now supports NFC payments for Android through phone-to-phone contacts. With this system, the need for a contactless reader to read the mobile payment is not needed.

LG Optimus 3D Takes The U.K. By Storm

The LG Optimus has just taken the United Kingdom by storm, leaving many excited to own this slender piece of technology. The world’s first 3D smartphone will be available for £454.80 for the unlocked/SIM-free model.

Featuring a 4.3″ capacitive touchscreen, and a robust dual-core Texas Instruments processor, the phone boasts of speeds equivalent to 1GHz. The 3D video capture is made possible through two 5MP cameras.

Acer Working On Slideout Android Tablet, Yay!

I am a huge fan of tablets, and am also a huge fan of the Android operating system, so when I hear that there is a new Android tablet, I go a little crazy. According to Digitimes, Acer is working on a slideout Android tablet. No clue on whether the QWERTY keyboard will be similar to a laptop keyboard or not, but I am really hoping it will have laptop-style keys.

Aside from having a 10″ screen, we are told that it will be fueled by an ARM processor and will be manufactured by Compal Electronics. Although we are unsure of the exact storage, I would guess that the base model will come with 16GB of storage and start around $450.

Gamevil Invests $10M To Partner With US Developers

South Korean mobile game developer, Gamevil is aiming to tap into the US market and has today announced that it will invest $10 million in US partnerships with American game developers. The end goal, of course, is for Gamevil to deliver their high quality game titles to popular smartphone operating systems.

With smartphones becoming ever increasing, it’s hard not to know someone without an iPhone, Windows Phone, or Android device. Although a South Korean company, its headquarters are located in Los Angeles, California.

Apple’s Touchscreen Patent Approved!

Apple has recently been granted a patent related to its capacitive touchscreen which was first introduced to the original iPhone over three years ago. The patent secures Apple’s gestures and gives the computer manufacturer full rights on its display over the iPhone, iPad, and iPod product line.

This may make other manufacturers like Samsung a bit nervous if their phone designs are anywhere near Apple’s. Lawsuits are very common in the tech industry, and pointing fingers becomes a game when it comes to new products.

The Groupon-style apps are quite hot these days, with people looking for the best bargains around town, especially in the recession we are in. T-Mobile is the first wireless carrier to offer such an app.

Archos’ New Family Of Tablets, Coming Soon

Archos seems to be planning on its next generation of tablet PCs. We don’t have many details just yet but AndroidCommunity seems to think that the bee buzzing in the advertisement is representative of Android Honeycomb, and I would have to agree. Supposedly, whatever is going down will be revealed on June 23rd, so stay tuned later this month!

Pantech Vega No. 5 – Leak

The Korean blog, Bodnara has just received a first glance at Pantech’s new Gingerbread device called the Vega No. 5. We are not quite sure whether it is a tablet or a smartphone but we know it has a nice rap sheet. The slim piece of hardware has a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor with 1GB of DDR2 RAM and dual cameras (8MP in the back). The gadget has 16GB of built-in storage and near-fields communications to make all your shopping easy and save you the hassle of flipping open your wallet!

The gizmo has a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and carries the beauty of qHD with an increased screen size to bring you full-sized photos.
