Jely Bean’s Source Code Made Available!

Nexus 7 and Android Jelly Bean, Google’s latest operating system for mobile devices has been in news for quite a while and as Google promised, they made available to the Android Open Source Project. The source code has been released and that makes the Android what it truly is i.e. An Open Source. The statement actually came from Jean-Baptiste Queru.

Hulu Plus Arrives To 4 More Android Devices

Have you been waiting for Hulu Plus to arrive on more Android devices than the six currently supported? If you can’t get enough of your favorite television shows, the answer is probably ‘yes’ and we have good news for you!

The new devices to get Hulu lovin’ are the Sprint Evo 4G, T-Mobile G2, T-Mobile myTouch 4G, and the Verizon Thunderbolt. While it’s cool that Hulu is targeting the major cell phones, I still feel a bit bad for those who have a lesser known Android device.

Verizon Rejecting All Motorola Gingerbread Phones?

Although Motorola had previously confirmed that Android 2.3 Gingerbread was coming to Verizon droid smartphones, only the Droid X was actually lucky enough to receive the update. The other phones, Droid Pro, Droid 2, Droid 2 Global, and Droid X have yet to enjoy the refreshed operating system.

The rumor on the street is that Verizon is rejecting all Motorola-approved Android 2.3 Gingerbread updates. This came after Verizon had to send builds back to Motorola after receiving dysfunctional and buggy phones.

Apple’s Touchscreen Patent Approved!

Apple has recently been granted a patent related to its capacitive touchscreen which was first introduced to the original iPhone over three years ago. The patent secures Apple’s gestures and gives the computer manufacturer full rights on its display over the iPhone, iPad, and iPod product line.

This may make other manufacturers like Samsung a bit nervous if their phone designs are anywhere near Apple’s. Lawsuits are very common in the tech industry, and pointing fingers becomes a game when it comes to new products.

No clue on whether or not the new tablets will feature Android’s new Ice Cream Sandwich or Windows 7 but I would vote for the less expensive operating system. Although, Windows may just be the victor, since I can’t imagine businesses adopting the Android platform, unless maybe they’re a startup.
