The H800 Tablet From Hyundai

Okay, so you’ve certainly about Hyundai cars, but did you know they had plans to tap into the tablet market as well? Hyundai is introducing a new 8-inch Android tablet, dubbed the H800.

Essentially it’s an 8-inch 800 x 600 pixel multi-touch tablet that is quite powerful. Perhaps Hyundai plans on pairing their new cars with these tablets to boost sales, or maybe they’re trying to make up for low sales in the auto sector.

Texas Instruments Introduces OMAP4470, Not a Robot

Texas Instruments has just announced another member of the OMAP 4 family, and it’s a boy! Meet the OMAP4470, a 1.8GHz ARM processor. The new chip is powered by two 1GHz ARM Cortex A-9 MPCore engines, and two 266MHz ARM Cortex-M3 cores.

Texas Instruments believes that the multi-core structure will allow for faster web browsing and more efficient power usage. The goal is to compete with Nvidia’s quad core chips and Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge line. While some may think this goal is a bit far fetched, you have to commend Texas Instruments for having such a goal!

NEC Introduces Dual-Screen Tablet

NEC has just announced a new product called the LifeTouch W; a dual-screen Android tablet. Now don’t get too excited just yet, we are only talking about Android 2.2, and not Honeycomb. Despite being a froyo tablet, consumers will be getting two 7″ screens for a total of 14″ of screen real-estate (pretty good for a tablet). The tablet is powered by an ARM Cortex A8/Mobile processor and will have 348MB of RAM and 1GB of ROM. Connectivity-wise, users will access the web through an 802.11b/g/n WiFi or Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR access.
