ASUS had introduced many impressive features in the Eee Pad and now with the Honeycomb update, they might be the best Android tablet makers out there.

Meet The Asus ‘Jay Chou’ 14″ Special Edition Laptop

Asus teamed up with Taiwanese musician Jay Chou to create a laptop that was designed to impress those who embody a unique lifestyle, or so the tune goes. It must be pretty cool to have a laptop named after you, especially when it rocks an Intel Core i5 2.3GHz processor, 4GB of memory, and a 640GB hard drive.

But since this laptop is centered on graphics, it includes a powerful Nvidia GeForce GT540M and Bang & Olufsen ICEpower audio with SonicMaster technology. The N43SL laptop features boot-up music that was composed by Jay Chou with a unique “J” key.

HP Considering Licensing Its webOS

Computer manufacturer Hewlett-Packard is currently speaking with various companies over its webOS mobile operating system. Sources claim that future Samsung tablets may sport the HP mobile OS. The move would give manufacturers such as Samsung a choice other than Windows or Android, giving consumers more options when purchasing a tablet.

It would be a win/win situation, in fact, if the deal went through. HP would be able to reach a larger user base through its webOS and tablet PC makers would be able to grab a larger portion of the market.

Eee Pad Transformer 2 W/ Windows 8, Due 2012

Although we recently heard about the Eee Pad Transformer’s debut, it looks like the company is already set to launch the Eee Pad Transformer 2, next year, with Windows 8. Although Android’s Honeycomb has been a hot commodity for recent tablets, I have a feeling that consumers are going to want to taste what Windows 8 has to offer.

News of the Transformer sequel was leaked by an Asus employee at this years Computex and was quickly reported on the french site, Les Numeriques. The employee was sure to note that users will have the option of sticking with Android on the new Eee pad, if they choose to.

AMD 9-Series Motherboard Goes Live

AMD is set to launch its 9-series chipset this week, in efforts to bring next-gen technology to computer enthusiasts around the world. The new chipset was designed to complement AMD’s Scorpius desktop platform, a platform that will feature the 8-core “Zambezi” processor and support AMD Radeon HD6000 series graphics cards.

The 9-series chipset will be the first to support AMD’s AM3+ socket processors, as well as offer backwards compatibility with earlier generations.

24″ LED Monitor, Powered 100% By USB

Asus has recently demonstrated a USB-powered monitor, the MS248B, which was meant to replace the current MS248H USB-powered monitor. For a recent monitor, it has a very interesting feature, it only carries a single USB port that is placed to transmit both power and data from the computer to the monitor.

Fortunately, the single USB port utilizes the latest USB 3.0 technology, which allows up to 80% more power to be transferred to the monitor (something I would assume is essential to power a 24″ screen).

Intel Keeley Lake Convertible On Its Way

Rather than waiting for Computex to launch, Intel decided to show off a new concept tablet/netbook hybrid. The concept convertible is called Keeley Lake and has a much thinner frame and shaped t and shape, allowing the fold in the design to not appear while closed.

We don’t have the full scoop on this convertible but we do know that it will use an Oak Trail Atom processor. The Atom Z670 will carry 1.5GHz of computing power and allow viewers to enjoy 1080p video.
